I have so many unpublished blogs in my drafts.
Here’s one I found today that I was supposed to post at the end of 2019.

“I’ve got so many plans for myself next year. All the things I want to achieve. All the things I dream of doing. This and that. This and that. Then all of a sudden I stop and think, what if…what if these plans don’t work the way I imagine in my mind. What if all my plans fall to the ground? What if something happens and I don’t get to do that? 2020 stares at me with lots of uncertainty. A year can change a lot of things. But let me reassure you of some things that will never change so you can move on to 2020 with confidence.
Firstly, God has a plan for you in 2020. Yes, He has already planned it out for you. He has gone before you and He has prepared the way. Prepared you and prepared people for you wherever you go.
Secondly, God loves you and nothing in the whole world can change that. So if anything terrible does happen, He will give you strength, joy and peace. When there will be moments you can’t carry yourself, God will carry you. He loves you so much that no weapon formed against you will prosper. There will be some tears because we are still here on earth – but God will take care of you at that time. Because He loves you, you got nothing to fear.
Lastly, His promises will remain. Year and after year. When everything looks strange and unfamiliar, when you step into unchartered territory – know that you can still hold onto the promises He gave you. They don’t have an expiration date so stop living in fear of a certain day or month when everything may change for you. And even if it does, God is still with you. His love is unchanging and unfailing. His word is true and bedrock for your feet, your defense, your strength and everything you need. His provisions will never run out for you. His resources are unlimited. His name is above everything in this whole world. He holds every moment and nothing surprises Him. His name is above every plan of the enemy and the government that is elected. Nothing can stand against God’s purpose for you. He will open doors that no one can shut, He will send people and help at the right time.
He is for you and with you. So you don’t have to live in fear of 2020.
I can’t believe I wrote this last year and didn’t post it. This was a perfect reminder that this could still be my year (even while we wear a mask and sanitize our hands like crazy people). I sent my dream list for 2020 to a friend and quickly realized that I had to rewrite my dreams for this year. But I’m still choosing to believe that 2020 is a set up for greater things and I’m going to end this year stronger than I started. Stronger in faith, stronger in hope and stronger in my relationships. This year is not over and so my story still continues. My dreams are not cancelled, they are just postponed for another date. And if they’re really cancelled, I trust God has a better dream for me this year.
Take heart, friend. This could still be your year.
