I’ve got a book where I write down anything beautifully put together or convicting. This is a small display of a few of my favourites. I’ll always keep adding to this collection so keep checking back.
Truth is the perfect tranquilizer.
The enemy’s power is rendered powerless in the presence of God’s promises.
Faith believes that with God, we are never helpless victims.
You were designed by a King. And your body, heart and dignity are worth valuing accordingly.
Relationships don’t come in packages of perfection; relationships come in packages of potential. they have the potential to be great. But they also have the potential to be hard at times. No matter what, it takes work to make it work. And wrapped in between the wonderful and the work are inevitable times of imperfection and possible rejection.
The problem with spending your life climbing up the ladder is that you will go right past Jesus, for He is coming down.
For some reason, I find it much easier to show grace and acceptance toward immoral unbelievers than toward uptight, judgmental Christians. Which, of course, turns me into a different kind of uptight, judgmental Christian.
The church that is man-managed instead of God-governed is doomed to failure. A ministry that is college-trained but not Spirit-filled works no miracles.
Nothing do Satan or hell fear more than praying men
Our praying, however, needs to be pressed and pursued with an energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.
It takes eleven tons of pressure on a piano to tune it. God will tune you to harmonize with Heaven’s keynote if you can stand the strain.
Often when we think it is the end, God is only beginning
What blocks our prayer is our thinking that nations and leaders are big wheels while we are only grasshoppers. We are sons of the Most High God!
In the power of Jesus’ name, we will affect the history of this planet – Moscow will not, and Washington will not. No human potentate will control history. We, the Church will direct the course of events through intercession.
At root, Job faced a crisis of faith, not of suffering.
Important reasons for reading the Old Testament:
It is the Bible Jesus read. He traced in its passages every important fact about himself and his mission. He quoted from it to settle controversies with opponents such as the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Satan himself.
The images – Lamb of God, Shepherd, the sign of Jonah, stone which the builders rejected – that Jesus used to define himself came straight from the pages of the Old Testament.
If you feel far from God, guess who moved.
Fear is faith in the enemy
In the absence of any other proof, the thumb alone would convince me of God’s existence
Dead people don’t sit up! Dead people don’t talk! Dead people don’t leave their coffins!
Unless Jesus shows up. Because when Jesus shows up, you never know what might happen.
We already have God’s attention. What can mankind’s attention add to that?

Sometimes we pray and pray and seemingly see no change. But that’s only true from our perspective. If we could see from Heaven’s standpoint, we would know what God is doing and intending to do. We would see God working in hearts in ways we cannot know.
